So, things have been slightly manic here (which doesn’t really excuse my tardiness on this blog. My apologies for the tumbleweed if you’ve checked in) – but onwards to some very exciting news! I have a release date for The Making of Gabriel Davenport. Please mark April 8th 2016 in your diaries as the day my book baby flies its nest. If you have a look in my sidebar, there’s a link there to try your hand in a Goodreads giveaway to win one of three signed copies!
About ten minutes ago I received the actual proof copy. A proper hold-in-your-hands-smell-the-pages-book ā¤. My hands are still shaking. I just need to read it through for the final time and check for anything amiss, but as soon as I’ve done that, my book will be live, and just waiting for the 8th April.
It all seems a little surreal. It’s been a long, exhausting slog and many months filled with a roller coaster mixture of anxiety, unbridled joy and far too much tea! But would I do it again? *
In a heartbeat.
* The sequel is just about ready to send out to beta š
How exciting. Date marked in my diary. Congratulations, you’ve done it!

I shared you on Facebook and IG – alas that will lessen my chances of winning a signed copy, the sacrifices one must make for friends xx

Haven’t entered for the giveaway – not on Goodreads yet and don’t have time atm. Cool though – would much rather buy a copy!

Aw, you’re so lovely š When you have time, make an account. It’s very good for seeing what works in your market, and you can convert your reader account to an author one when the time comes, and then you have a ready made fan base š

Surreal indeed to hold that copy of your book for the first time. For me, it was my 6-year old son handing me my book and saying something like, “Here you go, Liz Madrid.” Congratulations and I’d love to share the news on my social networks!
